I almost fell, I saw the giants when they step, it felt like a earthquake. The big steel pole he holds sees me. I run but I got tired from the man running after me. Boom the net came down on me 'I am stuck' I try to bite the net is to hard. This is not good I wonder were I am going.

I heard a truck coming our way the truck stopped. I saw giant people come out with huge nets I kept my eye on one of them but then a net got me from behind. I squeaked  and scratched the air and all the man did was laugh.

I stared at the men, and they stared back. They charged at me like a bull. He started to get closer and closer as I started to get dizzy. I melted into a shadow so they ran straight pass me. Then I felt a swish of cold air sprint pass me and I realised I was surrounded in a bumpy net.

I open my eyes slowly, everything was blurry. I heard a deep low voice saying “We found some rats.” Then in an even deeper voice replied “So what.” As the voices started to get closer I scrambled in and hurried towards the net. Then I heard another voice that sounded like a girl saying “SEE” when the men went away, the girl said, “Hang in there” in a whisper “I’ll get you out"...

Friday 6^th of December                                                      

We are on our way to the market. I can’t wait to feast on the food. Then these random guys come around the corner and ruin it. They charge at us like a stampede of elephant’s. I yelled "Run!" and ran for my life. I heard a swoosh, a net came flying down. I leaped away from the net and zoomed off in to the shadows, but another net came down.
"Got you," said the man. I tried to nibble through the net but the material was stronger than metal. I’m watching the others get swiped into the nets.

I was terrified but when I figured out where we were going this was just the beginning.

Captured

‘Jenner’, ‘where are you?’ I see nets flying around and diving down like gannets. My first thought was to run, so I took off like a jet. Then suddenly a net came crashing down behind me, I escape by a matter of inches.

I scramble to cover. There’s nothing else to do but sit down and watch all my friends and family being captured. I can’t resist the urge to dive out into the open and try rescuing whoever I can.

Then suddenly a net smacked down over me, my legs tangled into the plastic like fabric. Captured.

I squeaked in terror. Then I felt weak as the thick black shadow covered me. The big net came over me, I felt powerless. I tried to squeak for help but all that came out was a little ''Squeak''!

I ran around the net franticly, ''What were they going to do with me''? ''Where were they going to bring me''? ''Will I die?"
 ''BANG"! I was in this big truck, then I was off with the tall giants.

I was waiting for the signal. I looked around at the other rats, they looked so much older than me. Most of them were 20 or 30, but I was only 12.

    Soon the signal was sounded, we ran as fast as we could, to steal as much as we could. Then I heard a rattle of small cages and the squeaking of rats. I looked behind me and saw a large person lowering his hands to grab me.

    Just with one touch I laid down pretending to be dead. Like most other rats but they weren't pretending. The person walked away with the cage in his hands. When I saw that he left I got up and ran, I ran as fast as I could and hide under a small box and melted into the shadow.

    Then when it was all quiet I snuck out but it was the wrong time. SNAP!!!!

I was loaded into the truck and taken away. In that cage I wondered where were they taking us, and will I escape? Then all that I heard for the rest of the ride was rats in panic.

I charged at the left-overs like a crazed bull. Suddenly I felt a net slip over me with excrutiating speed and force.


I struggle, tossing and turning,  trying to nibble out of this night-mare, but the net is as thick as plastic. Not giving up I give it one last bite...


I managed to break free! I scamper away from that horrid place with my scrawny little legs and reach a bench! I fell safe enough to take a rest. So I did. But I never awoke again.

It was a usual Sunday,  a usual market day. The families of rats poured out to get a feast when the people left. Jenner and I stopped when we heard a jeep come along the market path, “QUICK RUN!” I yelled. “Jump into the bush”.  We were too late.

 “Got ya,” said the weird crazy capturing guy.  

 It was too late we were captured by big black men in black coats and beanies. We heard the other rats squeaking their heads off. It was so sad. We thought about Timothy, is he going to be alright?

how hunter and i met

It started off with me and hunter playing in the sand pit and I asked if hunter and I could be friends. He ended up saying yes and we got along great, that was when we were 1 and a half.  Now we are at school and about to leave and we are better friends than ever. It is nearly the end of the year. Hunter is a year 6 now so that means he is going to a different school from me but that doesn’t mean we cant be friends anymore. We will be friends forever =)

As the rats ventured through all of the market there was a sudden, awkward, silence. Then they heard big trucks storming right through the country side. An again another awkward silence but this one was followed by a huge raging attack on the innocent rats, they were everywhere. Left, right and centre.
Then shouting and screaming started from all of the frantic rats became terrified. All of the nets came swinging in on the rats at outragious speeds. One of them swiped down on jenner's tail, as she
escaped free in only a matter of seconds she was trapped again!
It was terrifieing.

The leftovers were delicious. There was so much leftovers we`re having are food will last for a week.  we were really full then.

I heard people surrounding me. I saw a net and I made a run for it. we couldn't run anywhere so we all cuddled up in the middle...... Where am I? I woke up in this cage looking thing.

I was hyperventilating in the cage while the man was taking us on a big shelf. We are in the cage waiting just trying to escape from this this place and stay calm. We don’t know what will happen to us.”

“We will try to make a plan for all of us just take deep breaths. I’ll make the plan and you got to stay calm ok. I’ll break the cages door and let the other go into air ducts and I and you will do the same with the others we must do it really silent and do it slowly we go fast if they come for us,” said Jenner

“Are you ready to do the plan?” asked Justin “Yes I am” 3 ‘2 ‘1 GO! You stay here Jenner and I will say you name when it’s safe. Do you” understand?”

“I do and how long will it take for you?”

“Well we only have 6 hours before morning  and it will take about 20 minutes.  But  we’ve got to do it really !”

I got the bike off trade me.  Its red and silver.
We went out to Oakura to get it.

When I get too big for the bike I will give it to Barnie, then he will give it to Deno when he outgrows it, and then we will sell it.

Trapped like animals

”Richey we are going to rob this house!  This creep is going on a holiday. We are going to steal almost everything in that house. We will watch the house for a little bit longer and look through the windows to see if he is gone.

 “I’ll check the windows. He is gone I can’t see him!”

 “Let’s do this.”

“Wait, do you hear that? I see someone, it’s him. Quick get up stairs and lock the door do it fast and hurry Sam!”

“Ok, but there is no key. I’ll have to push that shelf on to the door so he can’t get in.”

“Who’s there?,” said a voice outside the room

“I know that voice, it’s Jimmy. How did you get here jimmy?”

“The owner of the house kidnapped me and tied me in this rope and left me here to starve to death, do you have any food?”

“No and we are really sorry but maybe Sam does.”

“ Yes I do, here is a chocolate bar, this is all I have. We can’t get out of here if this creep is down stairs waiting for us. We need a plan to get out of here but how will we get out.”

 “How’s this? I’ll disturb him while you guys sneak up behind him and I will hit him in the head so he gets knocked out.”

 “ That’s perfect, we will use that and we will have to get a plank of wood to knock him out. How about this baseball bat? That’s better than a plank. “

“Ok the time is here do Sam do you have the baseball bat?”

 “Ok let’s do this.  3 2 1 NOW!:”

 ” Hey creep come and get me”

“ Ok, Sam sneak up behind him whack him in the head”

  The trick

My feet started to take me away. All I could hear was frantic screaming and shouting from other rats. Big giants got most of them stuck in unchewable rope. Lots of the rats were stuck but I was yet to be captured. I felt shaky and gripped with fear. I could not see any other rats around me so that means I am next.

        

Then I saw something falling. To my horror I realised what it was. A giant hand that was about to grab me but I rampaged away. I found a way out and sprinted to my escape I ran like a rocketing race car.

“Don’t let him escape!” screamed a voice. It felt like I was getting chased by a mob of rampaging elephants. His hand right behind me about to close in. 

“Snap!” His hand closed at just the wrong time. The lady gripped me weakly but I quickly slid out like an oily fish.I was so close I was sure I could escape. 

“Bang!” My head hit into an invisible wall as If I was hit with a hammer. Everything started fading and all I saw was blackness. So close yet so far away.

     

 Everything came into vision again. I found myself in a small room.

“Look the injection worked!”  

“Yes!, the resurrection worked! I thought he was long gone when he hit the window ” I heard a lady say.

“Great we can test him with our new DNA” said the leader.

“Injection time,” said a man holding a pointy pin and a needle In his hand.

Hi I’m Liam and I’m a rat, our lives are not easy. Every Sunday my family goes down to the nearby market to get food for the week.

One day when we went down there we noticed that something was wrong. There was much more food than usual but we went over anyway.

Later a truck came we try to get away as soon as possible so we wouldn't get seen. The next thing we know, swoop, a net flew past me, I ran into the shadows but they were just too fast.

Five minutes later I thought they had all gone so I came back out to find that they were still there, but once again all of them went to catch me all at once. “Help!” I screamed but no one could hear me.

They made me run for so long that I ran out of energy. I stopped to take a breath but I was too late. I was in the net trying to get out, but it was no use.

I was trapped with no way out.

I see all the rat's sprinting to hied.  I see rat's getting chased and caught.  A net flew past my home.  One of the rats was bleeding and one had its tail cut off.  Some rats got caught.  The people got some and went away.

My arms burning on the bound. They are about to give up on me and fall off. I was kind of confused where to go and what action I should do. We only went straight ahead. The army crawl burnt my arms. We didn't have enough time to finish. We were acting like headless horses fighting for "apples.

We finally made it to the end it was really painful. I felt tired and sore.
