Activ Inspire

To view the flipcharts we have uploaded to our class blog, you will need to download and install the Free Personal Edition of ActivInspire on your computer.

• Sign in to Promethean Planet with the following User Name: Frankley and password: frankley123
• Go to the link http://support.prometheanplanet.com/server.php?show=nav.19251&changeCountry=United+Kingdom
• Click on Download ActivInspire for Windows, Mac or Linux - depending on your Operating System
• Save the file
• Launch the file and follow the prompts to install the software
• Once Inspire has installed a dialogue box will come up and ask you for a User Name and Password and Serial Number – you don’t need to enter anything into these fields. Just select to Run Personal Edition
• Another dialogue box will then come up asking you to select ActivPrimary or ActivStudio… select ActivStudio then you are done.
• If you wish to access extra resources for ActivInspire you will need to Import the Subjects Resource pack. (This is optional) See Downloads link for instructions on how to import this.

  Make sure you are logged in to Promethean Planet using the following User Name: Frankley and Password: frankley123
  Go to the following link:

  ·      Scroll down to find the ActivInspire Resource Pack .as4a file
  ·      Click download and save the file
  ·      Once downloaded and saved, the ActivInspire Subjects Resource Pack .as4a needs to be imported into ActivInspire.
  ·      To import the resource pack >> Launch ActivInspire
  ·      Click on ‘File’ >> Import >> Select Resource pack to Shared Resources.
  ·      Browse to find the Resource Pack file that you have saved
  Click ‘Open’ and the contents of the resource pack will then be imported into your resource library. This may take some time.
