Reflection 30.07.13 - Natalia

Today our class watched a bit of how to train your dragon to learn more about the COPE attitudes (Curiosity, Open-minded, Persevering, and Empathy). I thought that the movie was really cool but Mrs McA kept on pausing it and asking us about what was happening, what COPE attitude someone is using and why. I rate the experience 6/10.

Something I did today By Zoe

Today I did rat sitting. One of the rats name is Gracie. The other rat does not have a name yet so we call her baby. They climbed all over me and sometimes, they ride around in your jersey hood. Their little pink claws scrabble all over you and prick you like tiny pins. Their noses sniff you and their long whiskers tickle when they touch your skin. Gracie likes to cuddle into the crook of my elbow. I used to hate the feel of their warm little bodies squirming around. Now, I don't mind at all. Their long tails are like hairy pink worms. I love the rats.

my review on today - Isaac

today we watched a bit of  how you train your dragons i like the first bit of  the movie where hiccup takes down the night fairy. he goes to kill it but he regrets trying to kill it and he goes back to see what he can make to help it. That is showing empathy.

Production Feeleings - Cooper

PRODUTION   FEELINGS! By Cooper

When I got to the TSB stadium  it looked pretty cool because when we went down stairs[the green room] all the actors were in the greenroom. I got there at 6.00 and everyone else did too, When I got there I got changed into my prodution clothes and went in the practis room and waited until it was  showtime.

Finaly we got on the stage and then the gause came up and the first song was kotahitanga then fire flies then Kung Fu Fighting then in the navy. And a hole lot of other stuff, It was really boaring and tiring.  Because your`e just  sitting there and singing songs.

When it was over I waited until I could go from to A-Z. When I got out I got a powerade from my mum and went home.

My reflection on today - Gregor

Today I played football for the school and it was the semi-finals. This was my last game for the school for I am away on holiday on Sunday. Fortunately we won 4-0 with Julian contributing most of the goals with Curtis scoring 1 goal.

Then later on in the day I worked on a presentation using Google docs. Me and patch are still working on it so it will come out later on (If we finish it before I leave).

Todays reflection By Isla

  10th July

Today  I did a tagxedo of the production that we had last night and another one tonight. It will be boring after I have said my part, and I almost fell asleep because it was soooooo weird just sitting down while there was all this acting going on.

My thoughts ...

It was exciting when it was my part. I practised it for a very LONG time before I got it right :)!!!:)

Shanra- YLC

The young leaders conference (YLC) is an opportunity like no others, in fact it was TOTALLY AWESOME. It is a place where students from all over the country go to palmerston north for the YLC to listen to motivational speakers, who inspire children to be great leaders.

What was your 2 favourite quotes?
Be who you are not who you aren't.(Allison Mooney)
Build your dream and your dream will build you (Cam Calkoen)

Who was your favourite speakers?
My favorite speaker was Cam Calkoen because he was very motivational and gave us great live tips. One of his favourite words is AWESOME.

What have you learnt that will help you in live?
I have learnt a lot  of  things, One of the stand out things I learnt was to not be afraid of standing out of the crowd.

What will you work on, a goal?
I will work on try to just be me, not caring what other people thing.

My feelings about cross country

Q. Do you have any comments about Frankley School cross country?
A.   I do not enjoy it at all and the thought of it makes me squirm. I feel that because I feel like it’s a torture program set up by evil people. I hate cross country. I feel like I don't fit in when it comes to this because when everybody else is cheering and training, I am groaning and trying to banish thoughts of this dreaded event from my mind. I wish that I didn't have to go to cross country and in a perfect world (for me) I would not get told to run across a sheep poo littered field at the back of the group until I taste blood in my mouth. I despise cross country from the bottom of my heart and wish it was just for the people who like it. I am sorry to say that I have been brought up in a family that does not feel like the rest of NZ: Sport crazy. I continue to fail to see the point in kicking/throwing a ball around a muddy field. I understand that some (most) people like this kind of thing but I don't. So to sum it all up: Cross country makes me hate running even more.

Young leaders 2013- William

Young Leaders 2013

The young leaders day was Awesome. The only thing that I hated was getting up at 4:30 Then leaving at five. But on the way back we got McDonald's. On the way we stopped Wanganui to have some food and to go toilet. Then we went back on the bus and went all the way to Palmerston North.
When we got there, the bus stopped we left our things in the bus and waited outside the Regent Theatre. Then about five minutes later, we got let in and sat down with our NYLD//13 Note book that was given to us with a black pen, then the conference started.

2 favorite quotes-

Be who you are not who you aren't.(Allison Mooney)
Don't let it happen make it happen.(Billy Graham)

My favorite speaker-

My favorite speaker was- Charlie Laumatia. Because. He told allot of funny story's but made point in every one of them.

What have I learned and how it might help me in life-

I have learnt allot of things. Like- Don't be a leader to be popular or you could lose fiends be a leader helpful and you could gain fiends, and one thing can change everything.

What am I going to work on- (A goal)

I'm going to work on- Not caring what other people say.
