Shower Shock - By Lucy

I hear the front door click open…. Oh no – they’re here! I look down at the floor for my clothes, and then it hits me – THEY ARE IN MY BEDROOM! To get to my room I have to pass the front door….The door is wide open!

I have just hopped out of the shower and all I have is my towel… A worry worm forms in my throat. What shall I do? Should I wait or should I make a dash?

I hear all the warm greetings float through the house. I waited for what seemed like an hour but finally I hear them sit down in the living room and settle down with the snacks.

Okay I can do this; I am going to make my move… I slip out of the bathroom and quietly close the door, my hair dripping on my back, with my towel wrapped around my sticky body. I lean up against the door frame; I can hear their cheerful voices.

Ready…1….2…3….GO! I grab the top of my towel, hold it tight and run! “PHEW I made it!”
