Escape of the rats

We are writing the scene talked about in our class book. The rats tell about when they were living in a village and went to the Sunday market to eat the leftovers. The men from the laboratory come and capture some. This is that part written. Can you build up pictures in your head from our writing. can you imagine the scene?

I was hyperventilating in the cage while the man was taking us on a big shelf. We are in the cage waiting just trying to escape from this this place and stay calm. We don’t know what will happen to us.”

“We will try to make a plan for all of us just take deep breaths. I’ll make the plan and you got to stay calm ok. I’ll break the cages door and let the other go into air ducts and I and you will do the same with the others we must do it really silent and do it slowly we go fast if they come for us,” said Jenner

“Are you ready to do the plan?” asked Justin “Yes I am” 3 ‘2 ‘1 GO! You stay here Jenner and I will say you name when it’s safe. Do you” understand?”

“I do and how long will it take for you?”

“Well we only have 6 hours before morning  and it will take about 20 minutes.  But  we’ve got to do it really !”

Chapter 2

Trapped like animals

”Richey we are going to rob this house!  This creep is going on a holiday. We are going to steal almost everything in that house. We will watch the house for a little bit longer and look through the windows to see if he is gone.

 “I’ll check the windows. He is gone I can’t see him!”

 “Let’s do this.”

“Wait, do you hear that? I see someone, it’s him. Quick get up stairs and lock the door do it fast and hurry Sam!”

“Ok, but there is no key. I’ll have to push that shelf on to the door so he can’t get in.”

“Who’s there?,” said a voice outside the room

“I know that voice, it’s Jimmy. How did you get here jimmy?”

“The owner of the house kidnapped me and tied me in this rope and left me here to starve to death, do you have any food?”

“No and we are really sorry but maybe Sam does.”

“ Yes I do, here is a chocolate bar, this is all I have. We can’t get out of here if this creep is down stairs waiting for us. We need a plan to get out of here but how will we get out.”

 “How’s this? I’ll disturb him while you guys sneak up behind him and I will hit him in the head so he gets knocked out.”

 “ That’s perfect, we will use that and we will have to get a plank of wood to knock him out. How about this baseball bat? That’s better than a plank. “

“Ok the time is here do Sam do you have the baseball bat?”

 “yes I do”

 “Ok let’s do this.  3 2 1 NOW!:”

 ” Hey creep come and get me”

“ Ok, Sam sneak up behind him whack him in the head”

“I got him”

“Ok check if he is knocked out”

“ He is out Richey. Let’s get out, oh no the door is locked and the body is gone”

“ Let’s try the windows, they are locked too.”

“Back upstairs QUICK!”

My burning arms.

My arms burning on the bound. They are about to give up on me and fall off. I was kind of confused where to go and what action I should do. We only went straight ahead. The army crawl burnt my arms. We didn't have enough time to finish. We were acting like headless horses fighting for "apples.

We finally made it to the end it was really painful. I felt tired and sore.

Me Eli and Liam.

In the holidays Me Eli and Liam went to go dirt biking at Marfell park. We had to walk the bikes up to the park. When we got up the hill we rode the bikes up the hill. Liam asked if he could ride the other bike up the hill.


 When  Eli, Liam and I got up the we got the helmets on and rode off

then my bike kept on stopping. Nathan checked my bike if It had gas. "Nathan said you have bugger all gas mate. then I had to go down to the house and get the gas out of the shed. I had to find the gas and it was right beside the Go-cart. When I got back to the field I went over to Nathan, he filled up my dirt bike.





Then a wile later an grumpy old man came along. "Nathan walked up and they had a argument "Nathan said we don't want your trouble. Its not hurting anyone please just go away. when we got home our legs were all numb. Then we had a ice cold drink and a big rest in the lounge. Our hands legs and fingers were all worn out and my sister was really tired.

It was a really cool holiday.

the swamp - written by Shikain

The swamp           

“Patch hurry, the sun is going down and if it’s down can’t see anything”, I yelled out to Patch. If we were late and can’t make it we will have to build a hut and make a fire. I can go slowly because my gumboots are flooding with mud from that sinking mud.

 “It’s about a mile away”, said Patch, “and we forgot our jackets. And when get back to the house we will wash our legs and have dinner.” We all agreed with it.

We had to cross broken trees and we wanted to be on Man vs. wild.  We got out of the bush and onto the farm land. It was a steep hill and Patch’s house was behind a fence. When we got to the house we had to wash our feet big time and then patch’s mum asked if I wanted to stay for fish and chips. I said yes please with my manners.

I want to go back there. It was so much fun. 

My Split Open Head - Shikain

This is my writing from today.  How does it make you feel? Have you ever had an accident?

 

My split open head

I was at nana’s house and we went in the camper

bus. I hit my sister and mum tried to smack my bum and we were fighting over the broom. Mum let go of the broom and I fell back! And I landed on a metal sharp corner. I had a bang go off in my head. I ran into the bus bedroom and something was dripping from my head. I felt my head and I looked at my fingers. It was BLOOD I screamed as loud as i could I ran out to mum. I panicked mum took me out side nana got a tail to put on my head. I threw the wet tail far away. Mum felt horrible for dropping me. We went straight to the doctor’s to get my head glued. It was time for me to see the doctor for me to get my head glued. When we got in she told me to stay still. She had to clean my head after she got the glue I stayed still one drop she put more on and it stung like hell. I cried for a little while. After my head felt all Beter. When we got home I had a rest on the couch and I watch TV. In the morning I felt so much pain in my head it like a rocket set off in my head.

It was the scariest day of my life.

My Dog- Shikain

Shikain has worked hard to choose writing to let you know how funny his dog is. can you give him some feedback on the words he has chosen. What do you like about his writing?

My Dog

I have a dog her name is Jade she is 3 years old. Soon she is going to have puppys! She has fur like a sheep and she is really play full. She is Poochon.

When we go dirt biking sometimes she gets in the way. Sometimes we have to slam on the breaks because we don’t want to run her over. When she does this our faces go red and we shake our heads with laughter.

She is really hilarious when she hops out of the bath and charge’s for my sister’s room. When I run and stop she freeze’s like she is a sculpture.

We always hide her ball under the couch’s pillowand she makes crack up noises when we hold her back. If we let her go she digs her head in the couch. When we throw the ball for her she gives it back.

Once when she was a puppy we took her to the lake and brought her ball. We threw the ball in the lake and she jumped straight in the water. Ten seconds later she zoomed back with speed. When she shakes the water off her fur she becomes a big fluffy dog and the water drop spread every where. She stops shaking and runs over to get the ball and it is all soggy like bread that is wet.

Sometimes running for the papers,

 

Sometimes running to the loo and doing number twos,

 Sometimes like a rampage,

Rats- Shikain

Just started today but going so well I thought I would post this on the blog for Shikain - Mrs McAllister  What do you think of this little piece? ( so far)


We have little adorable baby rats. Their whiskers shake like little earthquakes have hit. They sniff around for smells and foods. When I hold them I can feel their bones. Their tails wrap around my fingers.

Shikain on his motorbike - Wow!

A couple of weeks ago I went to my Aunty's farm. Mum and Dad took me and some of my cousins and my step brother out too.

When we got there we went on the bikes right away to the  farm land. when we got there i asked if i can get my proper gear on. so i went down and i fell off. It didn't hurt because it was all muddy.
And the mud was really soft I hopped state back on the bike it was really bumpy .There was holes
then i went up a ramp.  i turned and fell off. Then it was Patrick's turn. Patrick hoped on and he fell off like me he went to tern but the  dirt  bike drifted around the corner. He had a big crash


then it was Liams turn he went up the ramp and didn't fall off. Me,Nathan,and Dave had a race i came last because they had 400 cc. Then it was time to go to the front yard to go biking were it wasn't muddy.

Then it was time to have a break and have some lunch. After lunch we  hoped back on the bikes we put on our gear and went right to the the farm land we had 15 m.n to ride the bikes. Then Patrick had his tern and he crashed in the fence. he had a really red arm.

then it was time to go home. Patrick went to rest his arm and the rest of us went home.

My soccer day - Shikain

it was 9:30 am it started and it was a cold day. We had to warm up for the big game.10 Muinutes arfter they arived to the feild. The important thing we won - now we will be playing in the finals!!!

Shikain's new dirt bike

On Monday I was sitting on the couch and mum came in and said "what's that noise out there?" then I herd something out side It was the sound of a motor bike . I saw my dad on the dirt bike aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! he went all the way to Auckland to buy it, I couldn't believe It was a motor bike yaahoo I hoped on the bike with dad !!!! It was the right size for me. we had a ride down the street I cant wait for a helmet so I can ride It all by myself. It might be a 95cc or a 85cc. The helmet has been sent today it might come tomorrow or the next day I have to behave to be allowed to ride .

My Weekend by Shikain

On Saturday, I went to Inglewood to play my soccer game.  We played Inglewood School.  We got a new player on our team, his name is Ethan and he is really good!

The game started, we had the kick off straight away.  We scored a goal.  Then it was half time and my fingers were frozen solid.  Mine were so numb I couldn't feel them.  The game started again.  We were winning 11 to 6 and the game finished.  I was so cold that I screamed for my jacket!

It was time to celebrate for the teams, "HOORAY"!!!  We shook hands and announced the player of the day.  There were two; Phoenix and ME!!!!

Kapahaka

When the Kapahaka group came to our class I showed the class pets to them. Some of the girls were afraid of the rats. Next I showed them the baby frogs. I was shy but soon stood up and said do you want to hold the rats? One girl said can I hold one rat?

I stood back and I pulled the string back. I was looking at the target. I let go of the string and it hit the target like a missile hitting a house.
