Captured -Kieran

We are writing the scene talked about in our class book. The rats tell about when they were living in a village and went to the Sunday market to eat the leftovers. The men from the laboratory come and capture some. This is that part written. Can you build up pictures in your head from our writing. Can you imagine the scene?

As the rats ventured through all of the market there was a sudden, awkward, silence. Then they heard big trucks storming right through the country side. An again another awkward silence but this one was followed by a huge raging attack on the innocent rats, they were everywhere. Left, right and centre.
Then shouting and screaming started from all of the frantic rats became terrified. All of the nets came swinging in on the rats at outragious speeds. One of them swiped down on jenner's tail, as she
escaped free in only a matter of seconds she was trapped again!
It was terrifieing.

injury after injury made by Kieran

A minute ago I visited a fella called Paul who works as a physio.
I am going to the physio to fix all of the injured mucles in my legs. Paul says "it is a injury that needs to be dealt with emediately".
What happened to start everything up was my imflamated heels and my the akilies, they lead to the pain in my calf, selevies and knee problems. So with all those problems on both legs I limp, and when I limp I stir up my hamstring and gluetiusmaxsimas.
With that said and done I have got a whole load of exercises and strengthening workouts to get me back feeling 100% in 10 days!! I have to take full care of myself for the rest of the time I have got before a trip to Napier.
I cant wait to start the journey I am about to begin.

Kieran's Career in football

At the moment I am enjoying my football so much that I am getting nicknames that have been very encouraging. My total motivation is definitely from the team that I adore so much, Liverpool. They are such a classy team and their midfielder has got a great amount of skills and sportsmanship. Steven Gerrard is the captain of Liverpool. I look up to him not only as a leader but a amazing man and friend. My future and passion for soccer is immense. I couldn't be happier and more excited to see where my career might lead me to in life.
My next steps are to take it easy, don't get injured and take in everything that I am being told from my coaches.

My trip to Onaero

"Yehaaa!!" I shouted as we raced down the river in our kayaks. Jake and I suddenly ship wrecked our kayaks on a mud island! We made tracks and slides for us to go speeding down them when it was high tide. In the mean time we were exploring and sinking in the squishy mud.
All of the whitebait were coming up stream with the tide and the huge surges was making everything very wavy. That night we went eeling and we kept on getting heaps of nibbles on the bait, the bait was always not there when we retrieved it. At the last minute we caught a 1.5 kg eel and it fought al the way in.
I would love to go there back to their bach one day because I had so much fun.

The raining spitfire

I suddenly heard the heavens open with buckets of water splintering the roof at lightning speed.I lay in bed listening to hundreds of air gliders pounding against all ends of my house. It mysteriously stopped, but only to awaken me again with the dreadful scream of  THUNDER!!! The sound took my breathe away for what felt like a milestone! I finally got used to the shouting cry, so I slowly but surely drifted back to sleep.

Kieran's new shirt

The other day the Taranaki rugby team played there last home game. It was against the mighty Tasman Makos they put up a hell of a fight but we ended up losing :( final score 27-20 to them.
Any way the point I am trying to get to is that at the official last home game I asked one of the great Taranaki second five-eighths Isaia Tuifua for his game boots and believe it or not he actually said yes, and told me to come and get them next monday down here at the union. I agreed, so straight after school I came sprinting up to the gate begging my mum to go down there.
As soon as we got there I was a little nervous at first because I did not know what the first reaction would be at the office. I met one of the office men called Gary Tingle. he took me on a adventure through the huge building trying to find him. I started to get the idea that he wasn't going to be there (so did Gary). He took me into a room me full of lots of boxes and found the smallest size 14 he could find. It just happened to be Beauden Barrett's first ever training shirt WOW! I was over the moon even though I did not get the boots.
I am hoping that the TRFU are going to ring me up soon and hopefully they will be telling to come and pick them up!
I am very excited

Kieran's representative tournament

On Sunday I had my first Taranaki representative trip out in Whanganui. I play for the under 11 federation Taranaki team. My first game we played Manawatu green, our team eventually won 2-1 I scored no goals but my performance was excellent. On to my second game. Taranaki black (my team) also won our last game against Whanganui blue and the final score was 4-0 to us!!!
The bus trip on the way down was very tiring the whole two hours felt like it took for ever! on the way back I came home with my mum and dad. Through out the day my parents were very supportive of me.
Overall I had a brilliant day with all my new mates from the team.

Kieran's trip to Wanganui

This Weekend I have the privilege of going to Wanganui and playing for Taranaki under 11 Football team.
I have entered the team for the second straight time in a row ( I got in last year too.) I will be going in a bus up there and probably catching a ride back down with my family. My main positions are center forward, left forward and midfield (they are the positions that score all of the goals.)
My first game is at 1:15 against Wanganui blue and my second at 2:30 against Manawatu green. This year my squad is a very challenging team with every body wanting to push for there favourite position.
This year is going to be more challenging than ever mentally and physically!!!!

Kieran's Taranaki Cross country

On Wednesday the 25th of September I am going to enter the Taranaki cross country. I am one of the lucky ones that get to there with a wild card. The reason being is on the week of the New Plymouth cross country I went down with a very bad flu so I could no longer race. I was gutted. Lying in bedmy heart was just bursting.
The year before I had gone to both of the events and enjoyed it so much. In the new Plymouth's I came 9th and the Taranakis I improved and came 7th (that was a massive achievement for me.)
I can not wait until I enter the Taranaki cross country this year as I would like to better my best once again.
