CAPTURED - Gregor

We are writing the scene talked about in our class book. The rats tell about when they were living in a village and went to the Sunday market to eat the leftovers. The men from the laboratory come and capture some. This is that part written. Can you build up pictures in your head from our writing. Can you imagine the scene?


I charged at the left-overs like a crazed bull. Suddenly I felt a net slip over me with excrutiating speed and force.


I struggle, tossing and turning,  trying to nibble out of this night-mare, but the net is as thick as plastic. Not giving up I give it one last bite...


I managed to break free! I scamper away from that horrid place with my scrawny little legs and reach a bench! I fell safe enough to take a rest. So I did. But I never awoke again.

“Look!” “A secret passageway!” said Adam excitedly. “Let’s go check it out!” Justin agreed with Adam.

“Wow!” “Look at all of these colors! And there’s even an easel in here!” said Justin excitedly.

“You’re into art?” said Adam curiously.

“There’s a lot of things you don’t know about me.” said Justin. “Now, let’s get to work”.

“Finally! “My first Christmas Gingerbread man painting!” “I think I deserve a break”. “Wake me when it’s time to leave…”

10 Minutes later...

“What are you doing!?” yelled Justin.

“We've been in here for 10 days now. I needed something to eat.” said Adam.

His heart was racing at 100 Miles Per Hour. He took one big shaky step towards his greatest fear. It was staring him right in the eye, and he was doing the same. With sweat pouring down his face he ran for it like a cheetah chasing their prey. As he saw him take a giant leap, He realized it’s the other way around. But he’s too late. His claws are razor sharp, With fang like teeth. The last thing Mr Frisby saw was his knife like claws. This is the end for Mr Frisby.

Water bucketing down like a majestic waterfall, the “pitter” “patter” soothes my thoughts and I drift into a deep sleep. The sound fades away into the distance and the sounds of the world resume. Water drops on the roof waking me from my slumber. The waterfall awakes.

Tuberculosis

When a person becomes infected with tuberculosis, the bacteria in the lungs multiply and cause pneumonia along with chest pain, coughing up blood, and a prolonged cough. In addition, lymph nodes near the heart and lungs become enlarged. As the TB tries to spread to other parts of the body, it is often interrupted by the body's immune system. The immune system forms scar tissue or fibrosis around the TB bacteria, and this helps fight the infection and prevents the disease from spreading throughout the body and to other people. If the body's immune system is unable to fight TB or if the bacteria breaks through the scar tissue, the disease returns to an active state with pneumonia and damage to kidneys, bones, and the meninges that line the spinal cord and brain.

My reflection on today - Gregor

Today I played football for the school and it was the semi-finals. This was my last game for the school for I am away on holiday on Sunday. Fortunately we won 4-0 with Julian contributing most of the goals with Curtis scoring 1 goal.

 

Then later on in the day I worked on a presentation using Google docs. Me and patch are still working on it so it will come out later on (If we finish it before I leave).

“I’m just walking around minding my own business when a ten ton alligator comes out of space!!!!!!”

“That never happened”

“Yeah huh!” 

“Nuh uh!” 

 “Yeah huh!!”  

“NUH UH!!!”   

“Fine! You got me."

 I bent down by the river admiring the water then I felt uncomfortable in my shoe so I took it off and found a pebble in it. 

Then all of a sudden an eel sprang out of the water biting me and thrashing around.

“AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!” I screamed out in pain, I kicked the eel back into the water. I watched it slithering back into the river. Here comes the hour walk back to camp with Mrs Mca (the longest hour of my life UGH!!)

5 important things you should know about me

1. I love my sports, I’ve played football for 5 years,  I’m  trying out for the school team (again) and I love it, I think you should know this about me because I have a strength in this.

2. I’ve also played golf for 4 months and I also love it. I think you should know this about me because I also have a strength in this (basically I have a strength in sport).

3. I like my reading, I could read for half an hour but I need to work on a bigger vocabulary.

4. I love maths but I need to work on my fractions and decimals.

5. I love writing, if I had to pick any type of writing I would write a made up story (I could write for an hour).
